“Such an increase in interest in recruiting shows the high awareness and readiness of our citizens to defend the country. Each application is not just a number, but a real person who shows a real interest in serving in the army,” Melnyk said.
34,055 people have received counseling since the start of operation of the centers, and 7,550 of them have already become candidates for the Defense Forces.
Most applications to recruiting centers come from Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia regions and Kyiv. Currently, there are more than 10,000 vacancies in the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Service and the SBU. It is important to note that recruitment centers do not hand out documents, and consultations are confidential.
