Literally: “The resolution allows not to inform the police in the event of a contact traffic accident involving only two vehicles. This is possible on the condition that damage to property is caused exclusively in the form of damage (destruction) of the vehicle, and no damage to the life and health of individuals.”

Details: The message of the Cabinet of Ministers states that two drivers who have been involved in a traffic accident can jointly submit a traffic accident report to the insurer in paper or electronic form without the involvement of law enforcement officers.

“After making such a report, drivers of vehicles have the right to leave the scene of the traffic accident and are released from the obligation to inform the relevant units of the National Police about the occurrence of the traffic accident,” the resolution reads.

According to the new rules, the driver is required to have a valid insurance policy for the civil liability of the owners of vehicles or a “Green Card” insurance certificate. The document can be in both electronic and paper form, and its validity is confirmed by data from the Unified Centralized Database.
