The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the complaint of the lawyers of the former deputy of the High Economic Court. He was allowed to be released from custody on bail of UAH 80 million.

“According to the results of the review, the panel of judges of AP VAKS partially satisfied the appeal of the defense side, annulled the decision of the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court and issued a new one, which set a bail of UAH 80 million as an alternative to detention,” the message says.
In case of bail, the suspect is assigned a number of procedural duties.
According to the investigation, the former judge, now a lawyer, was part of a criminal organization that consisted mostly of judges, lawyers, arbitration managers, various court employees, etc.
They made “necessary” decisions for bribes, mainly in business disputes. The organizer of the “business” – the former chairman of the Higher Economic Court – illegally interfered in the distribution of cases and referred them exclusively to “his” judges, who fulfilled the “wishes of the customers”.
Earlier, we wrote that the State Bureau of Investigation detained the former deputy head of the Higher Economic Court of Ukraine, Artur Yemelyanov, and informed him of the suspicion of participating in a criminal organization and receiving a bribe.
Subsequently, Yemelyanov was sent to arrest until the end of January of the following year, and without the alternative of posting bail.
