It is noted that French-language resources spread pro-Russian theses, allegedly “France is inciting a war in Ukraine”, “the West earns from the supply of weapons, and Ukraine pays with lives”, “the West is responsible for the war in Ukraine”, etc.
Such messages are frankly manipulative, the purpose of which is to discredit Western aid to Ukraine and shift the responsibility for the escalation to the West. A special role in the dissemination of manipulative messages was played by the French-language network of propaganda resources Pravda, which was previously reported by the Center
The CPD also recorded a campaign to spread fakes in France to discredit the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Information was spread that Volodymyr Zelensky allegedly “bought a hotel in the ski resort of Courchevel in France for 88 million euros” and allegedly “Volodymyr Zelensky bought a villa on the island of Saint Barthelemy”
“These reports are untrue and have been refuted by the Center,” the Center noted.
We will remind
Russian propaganda changed its focus from justifying aggression to undermining Ukrainians’ faith in victory. KNDISE warns of hidden narratives aimed at discrediting the authorities and weakening support for the West.
