After the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, was diagnosed with a severe form of pneumonia, she was hospitalized for some time.
This was officially stated by the press secretary of the European Commission, Arianna Podesta, in a comment to Politico.
She confirmed that she is the president of the European Commission “was hospitalized for pneumonia and is now back home.”
“She was not in the intensive care unit. She was in daily contact with her team at the commission. Now she is working at home, continuing to recover from a serious illness,” added the press secretary.
