It became known when CAS will consider WADA’s appeal on Sinner’s doping case

Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) will consider the appeal of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regarding the doping case of the first place in the ATP ranking Yannick Sinner April 16-17, 2025.

Such information appeared on the official website of CAS. Super Tennis claims that the hearing will be held in private as neither side has requested that it be public.

In March 2024, Sinner passed two positive doping tests during the ATP 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, in both cases a low concentration of clostebol in the body was recorded. But as a result, he was found innocent by an independent tribunal of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).

The investigation revealed that the substance entered the body through the fault of one of Sinner’s team members. He treated his wounds with a spray containing Clostebol and massaged Sinner. This led to the unconscious transdermal infection of the Italian tennis player. WADA has filed an appeal to the CAS against the decision to acquit the Italian and demands the suspension of the tennis player for a period of one to two years.

Sinner will start next week at the 2025 Australian Open, where he needs to defend his title. In the 1st round, he will play against Nicolas Harry (Chile, ATP 34).
