Ukrainian defender of Toffees Vitaliy Mykolenko was in the starting line-up and spent the whole match on the field. The English press appreciated the football player’s performance and noted the Ukrainian’s instability:
“He played unreliable in the first half – Mykolenko’s mistake could lead to a missed goal. However, he was able to pull himself together and in one of the episodes made an excellent block during an opponent’s strike. In recent weeks, it has become too unstable,” journalists say.
This season, the Ukrainian defender played 19 matches for Everton in all competitions and recorded one assist. In the next match, the Toffees will play against Aston Villa – the meeting of the 21st round of the Premier League will take place on January 15.
