Asus presented at CES 2025 a 14-inch laptop with a weight less than the smallest MacBook Air, and at the same time significantly better characteristics.
The new model from Asus weighs from 990 grams to 1090 grams, depending on the configuration. It is several hundred grams lighter than the smallest laptop from Apple. The laptop will be available in two versions — with a gray and beige case. Beige is cheaper but has a more advanced Snapdragon X Plus chip. It also offers users 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage for $899.
The $1,099 gray Zenbook A14 comes with a Snapdragon X Elite chip and has 32GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, but weighs less. The body of both laptops is completely made of Asus’s proprietary material, which the company used to decorate only the covers.

Both laptops also got a 14-inch OLED screen and a powerful battery that provides up to 32 hours of battery life. Also, A14 can boast a considerable number of ports (one USB Type A, two USB C, HDMI 2.1 and headphone jack).
Asus claims both Zenbook A14 models are the lightest PCs with Microsoft Copilot+ AI support. In addition, the A14 can boast of ingenious design elements: it is easy to open with one hand thanks to an elegant hinge.
