“The peacekeeping initiative can become part of security guarantees for Ukraine. Of course, one contingent of some countries will not do. This, I believe, is not enough, but the fact that it can be a serious component of future security guarantees for Ukraine – yes. This initiative was launched by Emmanuel Macron. The British look positively, but I will talk about it in detail with the Prime Minister (of Great Britain – ed.) at our meeting. He will pay a visit to Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
He noted that “there are already very serious decisions” between Ukraine and Great Britain, but he promised to inform about the details later.

“Of course, the guarantees we trust are NATO, but on the way to the Alliance, we must have security guarantees from both the US and European colleagues,” Zelensky noted.
As reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he supports the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to deploy a peacekeeping contingent on the territory of Ukraine, but effective mechanisms are needed for its implementation.
