The Svyatoshyn District Court of Kyiv seized a plot of land on the territory of the Babinetskyi Starostyn district, which the city purchased for the construction of a cemetery. This is reported in the court register, LIGA.net writes. According to the decision, a land plot with an area of 20 hectares was sold to the city of Kyiv through an auction held by the SOMGIZ company on November 27, 2023. The Zahidzemleproekt company estimated this land as agricultural at UAH 54.5 million. But it turned out that in fact this land is not intended for agriculture, but for the construction of communal facilities (that is, for development). According to the State Property Fund of Ukraine, such land for development costs much more – about UAH 747.3 million. This is 15 times more than the price for which it was sold.Advertisement: Since there is a suspicion that the land of the Buchansk community was sold illegally and at an undervalued price, the court decided to seize it. The Kyiv city state administration believes that the court and law enforcement officers “deliberately and unjustifiably blocked the implementation of an extremely important project for the community” – the creation of a cemetery, in particular for military burials. The authorities of Kyiv claim that the expert assessment of the land value, the auction and the acquisition of the land plot were carried out in accordance with the current legislation. Advertisement: “The specified court decision once again demonstrates the biased approach of the judiciary and law enforcement agencies when the matter concerns Kyiv and the Kyiv City State Administration. The practice of political orders that go against public needs and interests, because the issue of creating a civilized place for burials is extremely important,” the KMDA said. The Kyiv City State Administration called on law enforcement officers to be constructive and “act in the interests of citizens, not political pressure and manipulation.” We will remind: the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv collected more than UAH 9.5 million for the benefit of the state budget from “Aifar Group” LLC, which did not pay for the gambling license.
