In 11 days, a new chapter begins for Europe and the whole world, and this is the time to act even more actively, rely on each other and achieve results together. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his speech at the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, which was attended by representatives of 49 partner countries.
The head of state emphasized that this year Ukraine wants to set a record for the number and quality of drones produced by itself and received from partners. After all, this is the very weapon that has already changed the nature of war.
“Ukrainians have Europe’s greatest experience in using drones, and we also have Europe’s greatest potential for their production. So, first of all, I ask you to invest more in this Ukrainian force, because after the war it will also become your force. Second, invest in talented people in your countries who can help strengthen us all in the field of drones,” the President noted.
Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the partners to fulfill all agreements regarding the delivery of aid packages to the front and air defense systems promised at the last NATO summit.
“You saw what happened yesterday in our city of Zaporizhzhia – 13 people died and 112 were injured from Russian bombs. It was just one day, just one attack, one airstrike. We must stop Russian terror. And you can do it,” he emphasized.
The head of state noted that with most of the countries represented at Ramstein, Ukraine already has bilateral cooperation in the field of security, enshrined in 27 agreements, and invited others to cooperate.
The President also called on all partners of Ukraine, especially the US and the EU, to strengthen sanctions against Russian energy and stop the shadow fleet.
“Russia’s military budget for 2025 exceeds last year’s by 25%. If we want to stop the killings, we have to cut off Putin’s money flow. Putin will start thinking about peace only when his closest circle tells him that he has run out of money,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
