President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius as part of the Rammstein format meeting.

According to the Office of the President, Zelenskyi and Pistorius discussed the possibility of increasing the financing of military aid to Ukraine for 2025.

It is noted that the president separately emphasized the importance of further strengthening Ukrainian air defense and providing Ukraine with additional air defense equipment.

During the meeting, they also discussed the future work of the “Ramstein” format and the possibility of financing the Ukrainian production of weapons and equipment according to the Danish model.

Boris Pistorius, in turn, announced that the announced six IRIS-T systems will be delivered in 2025. Also, according to him, Berlin will provide almost 50 guided missiles for the IRIS-T systems.

On January 9, there is a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (“Ramstein” format meeting). At this meeting, Zelensky called for increased sanctions against the Russian Federation in order to “cut off Putin’s money flows.”

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who presided over his latest Rammstein-style meeting, announced an aid package worth about $500 million.
