The Council adopted a law on the specifics of military registration: what awaits women

The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading and in general the draft law on the peculiarities of military registration of conscripts, according to which, in particular, basic military training for women is voluntary. People’s deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reported this, he reports UNN.

“The Council voted as a whole on draft law No. 12076 on basic military training,” Goncharenko wrote.

298 People’s Deputies voted “for”.

“Undergoing basic military training for women will only be voluntary, and after that, being put on the military register will also be exclusively voluntary,” Goncharenko explained.

Also, according to him, this draft law allows young people who are currently turning 18 abroad to be registered without coming to Ukraine.

In December, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis a draft law, which, among other things, provides for the inclusion of women in the military register of conscripts who expressed a desire to undergo basic military service.
