Andriy Demchenko, the spokesman of the DPSU, noted that military exercises of various units are constantly held on the territory of Belarus. At the same time, he emphasized that at the moment there is no threat in the form of strike forces in the direction of the Ukrainian border.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported that from January 8 to 31, military exercises will be held in the country near the Ukrainian border. During these exercises, it is planned to involve the territorial troops to restore their skills and prepare for the performance of tasks, in particular together with the engineering units of the Armed Forces of Belarus.
Earlier it became known that the Ministers of Defense of Russia and Belarus, Andriy Belousov and Viktor Hryenin, agreed to conduct joint strategic military exercises “West-2025”. These exercises, which are planned for next year, will focus on the analysis of the “experience of the SVO” of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In December, military exercises began on the territory of Belarus, which lasted until December 31.
