In Ukraine, the first active pharmaceutical ingredient based on medical cannabis was registered – oral drops from the Spanish manufacturer Curaleaf. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Medical Cannabis Association. In the first half of 2025, production pharmacies of Ukraine will start selling drops based on medical cannabis. According to the founder of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Cannabis, Hennadiy Shabas, more than 6 million people in Ukraine need medical cannabis-based drugs, in particular for the treatment of PTSD. Advertisement: Medical cannabis will be prescribed to patients with diseases prescribed by the Ministry of Health, including: chronic or neuropathic pain, nausea, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, anorexia, etc.
