The troops of the aggressor country Russia destroyed some positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in Chasovoy Yar, Toretsk and near Stupochky in the Donetsk region.
This was reported by the operational-strategic grouping of the Khortyts troops on Wednesday, January 8.
It is noted that on the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions, combat clashes took place in Chasovoy Yar, Toretsk and in the Stupochky area.
The Khortytsia Security Service noted that the Russian army actively used attack drones during offensive operations in urban areas.

“As a result of assaults and fire, some of our positions were destroyed,” the message reads.
The military added that measures are currently being taken to prevent the tactical situation from worsening.
What is known about the situation at the front in the Donetsk region

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced the alleged complete capture of Kurakhovoy. OSUV Khortytsi reported about fighting in the urban development.
