Kryvdnytsia Kostyuk knocked out the 12th ranked racket of the world from the WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide

American tennis player Ashlyn Kruger (WTA 54) reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 hard court tournament in Adelaide, Australia.

In the 1/8 finals, the American lost in three sets Paulo Bados (Spain, WTA 12) in 2 hours and 31 minutes.

This was the second meeting of the rivals. Kruger took revenge on Badosa for losing in the 1/32 finals of the competition in Doha in 2024.

In the quarterfinals, Kruger will take the court against world number 7 and number 1 seed Jessica Pegula (USA).

In the previous round, Ashlyn won in three games against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (WTA 18).
