Sunderland have been in contact with Roma central midfielder Enzo Le Fe, journalist Matteo Moretto reports.

The representative of the Championship has not yet made an official offer to the Serie A club. The transfer of the 24-year-old Frenchman is reportedly a request from Sunderland manager Regis Le Brie.

Under Le Bry, Le Fe made 36 appearances for Lorient in all competitions in the 2022/23 season, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.

In the course of the current campaign, Enzo took part in only ten matches without recording a single productive action.

We will remind, in the summer of 2024, the midfielder moved to Rome from Rennes for 23 million euros. The contract with him is calculated until the end of June 2029.

Earlier it was reported that Le Fe was interested in Real Betis.
