Star Portuguese goal scorer Cristiano Ronaldo named the toughest opponent against whom he had to play in his career.
“Over the years of my career, I spent several great confrontations with Ashley Cole, he did not let me catch my breath. He was such a persistent player when he was at the peak of his career, fast, tough in the tackle. You knew it would never be an easy game against him,” Ronaldo said.
During his career, Ronaldo met Cole in the Premier League when he played for Manchester United, while Ashley first played for Arsenal and then for Chelsea.
