As Shmyhal noted, 11 million applications for the payment of 1,000 hryvnias under the “Winter is Support” program have already been submitted. Over 8 million Ukrainians have already received money, he emphasized.
“In January of this year, the payment of the “Teacher’s supplement” will also begin. “Each teacher will receive an additional 1,000 hryvnias per month in addition to his salary, and from September this amount will be already 2,000 hryvnias,” the Prime Minister said.
Shmyhal said that the “eBook” initiative is also being implemented within the framework of the Winter Support.
“We already have more than 56,000 applications from those who will turn 18 in 2024,” Shmyhal added.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy assured that the amount of the subsidy will increase due to the increase in the electricity tariff.
