The World Boxing Council (WBC) has determined the winner in the nomination “The best coach of 2024” – experts praised the work of the Ukrainian Yuriy Tkachenko.
WBC, WBO and WBA super heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (23–0, 14 KOs) trains under the guidance of this mentor. Last year, the Ukrainian boxer twice defeated the British Tyson Fury (34–2–1, 24 KOs).
In May, Usyk defeated his opponent by split decision (115:112, 114:113, 113:114), and in December, the judges unanimously recorded a confident victory for Oleksandr (three times 116:112).
Earlier, Usyk’s former rival named the main advantage of the Ukrainian champion.
