In the afternoon of Saturday, January 4, the forces of the Russian Federation again struck the territory of Ukraine, according to the message of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Air Force, “today, from 14:00 to 20:00, the enemy struck with weapons of various types”:

  • 30 shock unmanned aerial vehicles of the “Shahed” type;
  • simulator drones of various types from the north-eastern direction.

In addition, the Armed Forces say that Russia attacked with 32 attack drones of the “Shahed” type and drone simulators of various types from the north-eastern direction.

“As of 20:00, three missiles and 14 enemy drones were shot down. Another 16 simulator drones have been lost in location,” the department emphasized.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
