President Volodymyr Zelenskyi reported that 980,000 people serve in the Defense Forces of Ukraine. He added that the Ukrainian army is the largest in Europe.
In an interview with the American podcaster Lex Friedman, Zelenskyi emphasized that today the largest army in Europe is the Ukrainian army, which includes 980,000 soldiers.
He added that the second place is occupied by France, which has about 200 thousand people in its army.
“Will Europe be able to assemble an army consisting of 2-3 million? No. Europe will not want to do that. And for what? We do not want a world war with you. There is no such purpose. There is no such goal to collect everyone. We don’t want any war. We want to stop the Russians,” he said.
