“This will be a single electronic document for all military personnel. And in “Army+” there will be a military ID card with a photo, rank, position. This will be implemented when we launch a single register of servicemen,” she said.
According to Chernogorenko, “the draft law, which will enable the launch of the corresponding register, has already passed two readings in the Verkhovna Rada and is awaiting the President’s signature.”
“Only when it is signed, we will make this register. I think that sometime in the first half of 2025, in fact by June, we will implement the military ID,” she summarized.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the introduction of a transfer mechanism between military units at the initiative of servicemen. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the mechanism was developed in cooperation between civil society, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and transfers will work through the “Army+” application.
The difficulty of voluntary transfers in the army has been repeatedly reported. In July, a petition was registered on the website of the President’s Office regarding the regulation of the practically impossible procedure for the transfer of servicemen between units of the Defense Forces. However, the appeal did not receive the necessary support for consideration.
