Ruben Amorim: “You must continue to do your job”

Manchester United coach – about the defeat in the match with Newcastleโ€, โ€” write: sport.ua

Portuguese coach of the club “Manchester United” Ruben Amorim shared his emotions after the fiasco in the 19th round of the Premier League against Newcastle (0:2).

“It’s really hard. This is one of the worst moments in the history of our club. We have to accept another defeat in front of our fans and Newcastle were better in the match. We conceded two goals, and at this moment it is difficult to change the result. This is a very difficult time for everyone, so we have to keep doing our job. There is no other way.

It’s really hard to analyze the game. They started really well and we missed out – very nervous. Then the second goal, very early in the game. It was really hard for us. They were better than us. Even throughout the game, they controlled the situation. We were better in the second half, but that’s because my players tried, really tried. But they, like I said, were better than us and they won the game.

You can feel our confidence going down – it’s bad. We must understand that we are in a very difficult situation. Sometimes it’s really hard for them on the pitch to suffer these defeats, but we have to keep going. Once again, there is no other way. We have to work hard and prepare for the next games,” Amorim commented.

The Red Devils end the year in 14th place in the Premier League table. So far, the team has 22 points.
