The Cabinet of Ministers is improving the mechanism for calculating subventions for educational projects through the DREAM system. Priority will be given to military institutions and schools with more than 200 students. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

According to him, these are projects to build school shelters and modernize canteens to organize healthy meals for students.

In particular, the system of selecting projects through DREAM will be improved so that the level of safety risk for students is taken into account.

Priority is given to military educational institutions, institutions with more than 200 children, as well as institutions that provide education for the entire community

In 2025, the Government will allocate UAH 6.2 billion in subventions for the construction of shelters and UAH 960 million for the repair of catering units.

 Separately, according to Shmyhal, the issue of providing subventions to create fire protection systems for military lyceums, lyceums with enhanced military and physical training, and schools participating in a pilot project to strengthen the security of the educational environment will be regulated.

The funds of this subvention will be available to institutions with full-time education, as well as on condition that the community provides 50% co-financing.

Under this program, the government will allocate UAH 500 million to the local level next year.
