“We are closing the institution in Boryspil”. Lviv Croissants are ending their partnership with franchisees for the first time

For the first time in almost 10 years of existence, the Lviv Croissants chain is terminating the contract with the franchisee and closing the only establishment in Boryspil. At the end of 2023, the Lviv Croissants chain opened its first establishment in Boryspil. This is a spacious, stylish restaurant on the central street of the city. The franchise was purchased by local businessman Bohdan Ludchenko. But the other day, the company Fast Food Franchising Group, which owns Lviv Croissants, announced on its Facebook page about the termination of the contract with the partner. According to the owners of the company, the main reason for the termination of cooperation with Mr. Ludchenko was his unacceptable behavior towards the guests of the establishment, as well as the employees of the central office. “When we started receiving complaints about our partner from the guests of the establishment, we thought that these were provocations from competitors , – admits Lviv Croissants co-owner Andrii Halytskyi. – But later they received confirmation in the form of a video on Bohdan’s page. It was a terrible mistake on his part, because the restaurant was successful and profitable from the first months of work, and he single-handedly ruined his reputation and partly ours.” The owners of the company note that Mr. Ludchenko repeatedly insulted the guests, published his correspondence with them without their consent, mocked the guests’ behavior on social networks and even threatened to damage their property. Gradually, the establishment began to lose visitors, and franchisees – profits. After futile attempts to explain to the partner that his actions harm the business and reputation of the Lviv Croissants brand, the owners of the network decided to stop cooperation with him. After receiving a warning about the termination of the contract, the franchisee released a series of discrediting statements against the company and the owners on social networks. In particular, he accused them of choosing too expensive premises and inflated prices for raw materials. “We were looking for a partner in Boryspil for a long time,” says Halytskyi. , general construction works and the search for craftsmen are handled independently, so the company’s owners do not know the final amount of investment until the opening verified national suppliers who have all certificates and permits. This is the only way we can guarantee the same quality of dishes in each of the 180 establishments of the chain. Prices for raw materials are the same for all Lviv Croissants franchisees, and their increase is carried out by the supplier, not by the owners of the chain.” According to Andrii Halytskyi, the unilateral termination of the agreement is provided for in the contract that Fast Food Franchising Group signed with Mr. Ludchenko at the beginning of cooperation. It expires on January 15, 2025. In addition, Fast Food Franchising Group’s post states that the company intends to defend the reputation of the Lviv Croissants brand in the legal field. We will remind that in 2025 the network will be 10 years old. It has 180 establishments throughout Ukraine, as well as in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the USA.”, — write: epravda.com.ua
