The government has approved new quotas for the export of agricultural products: what concerns

The government has approved the list of quotas and goods that are subject to licensing for 2025, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported, providing the list and naming the amount of quotas for agricultural products that are subject to this, writes UNN.

“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1481 dated 24.12.2024 approving the lists of goods whose export and import are subject to licensing and quotas for 2025,” the message reads.

In particular, the government approved the list of agricultural products, the export of which is subject to licensing:

– the volume of the quota for the product “Salt, suitable for human consumption” under the code according to UKTZED 2501 00 91 00, the export of which is subject to licensing (quota volume – 0 tons);

– a list of goods, the export of which is subject to licensing, namely: wheat and mixtures of wheat and rye (meslin) (according to the code according to UKTZED 1001 99 00 00), corn (according to the code according to UKTZED 1005 90 00 00), rapeseed or rapeseed (according to the codes according to UKTZED 1205 10 90 00, 1205 90 00), sunflower seeds (according to codes according to UKTZED 1206 00 91 00, 1206 00 99 00).

The licensing regime of the specified goods is applied when the country of destination of the goods is Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, regardless of the country of registration of the non-resident counterparty in accordance with the foreign economic contract.

In addition, as reported, the approved volume of quotas for the list of agricultural products:

– the volume of the quota for the product “Sugar”, the export of which to EU member states is subject to licensing (the volume of the quota is 107,238.62 tons).

Licensing is implemented until June 5, 2025. The amount of the quota approved for the product “Sugar” is distributed by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy among sugar exporters in proportion to the actual production volumes of the specified products for September-December 2024.

– the volume of the quota for the goods “Meat and edible offal of domestic poultry: domestic chickens (Gallus domesticus), ducks, geese, guinea fowls” (quota volume – 55,536.17 tons) and “Meat of turkeys and edible offal of turkeys” ( the volume of the quota is 1,565 tons), the export of which to EU member states is subject to licensing. Licensing is implemented until June 5, 2025.

– the amount of quotas approved for the product “Meat and edible offal of domestic poultry: domestic chickens (Gallus domesticus), ducks, geese, guinea fowl”, with 2 exceptions of the reserve volume of quota in the amount of 1165 tons for new exporters, and for the product “M “meat of turkeys and edible offal of turkeys” is distributed by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy among the exporters of the specified goods in proportion to the actual volumes of exports of the specified products to EU member states for 10 months of 2024. (January – October 2024).

The reserve volume of the quota (1165 tons) is distributed among exporters who did not export the specified products for 10 months of 2024. Provided that there is an unused balance of the quota volume as of April 1, 2025. it is distributed among exporters of meat and edible poultry offal: domestic chickens (Gallus domesticus), ducks, geese, guinea fowls, including turkey meat and edible turkey offal, in proportion to the actual volumes of exports of the specified products to EU member states First quarter of 2025.

The resolution enters into force on January 1, 2025.
