Ukraine received about 1.7 billion dollars from Japan

The state budget of Ukraine received almost 1.7 billion US dollars from the Government of Japan under World Bank projects. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance. As the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted, the funds are directed to projects in the social, medical, educational spheres, business recovery and support. They arrived in the period from November to December under the following programs: 602 million US dollars of loans within the framework of the project “Investing in Social Protection to Increase Coverage, Sustainability and Effectiveness” (INSPIRE). 400 million US dollars of credit in December 2024 as part of the implementation of the program “Supporting reconstruction through prudent fiscal management” (SURGE). USD 250 million loan during November – December 2024 as part of the implementation of the Sustainable, Inclusive and Ecologically Balanced Enterprise (RISE) program. $220 million in December 2024 as part of the Transforming Health Care Through Reform and Investment in Effectiveness (THRIVE) program. 200 million US dollars in November – December 2024 as part of the implementation of the program “Increasing the accessibility and sustainability of education in crisis conditions in Ukraine” (LEARN). We will remind: Advertising: Japan will transfer another $3 billion to Ukraine, secured by frozen Russian assets.
