According to Kravchenko, the damage was serious – from the facade to engineering networks. It was possible to restore the house thanks to the allocated funds from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
“The 380 residents of the high-rise building can finally fully return to their apartments. UNDP specialists in Ukraine carried out independent technical supervision of the reconstruction,” added Ruslan Kravchenko.
As part of the overhaul, the following were restored:
– Windows, doors and balconies
– Walls, ceilings and facade of the building
– Roof with insulation, parapets and fencing
– Drainage, heating and lightning protection systems
– Common areas, stairwells and landscaping
-Ramps and tactile navigation system for barrier-free access
As Kravchenko pointed out, within the framework of the program, KODA implements 48 objects, including residential buildings, educational institutions and the construction of shelters.
“People who lost their homes due to the war should return to warmth and comfort as soon as possible. Therefore, we are actively working on the restoration of residential buildings, ensuring high-quality and prompt implementation of projects,” said the head of the Kyiv OVA.
