The national energy company “Ukrenergo” ordered to cancel emergency power cuts in a number of regions of Ukraine, DTEK reported.

Stabilization schedules continue to operate in Ukraine.

On the morning of December 26, the Poltava region announced the introduction of emergency blackouts.

Emergency shutdowns also affected the Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where stabilization schedules are currently not in effect. In addition, emergency shutdowns were reported in the Sumy region, but already at 8:00 a.m. they were replaced by hourly shutdown schedules in the amount of one and a half shifts.

At the same time, emergency shutdowns continue to operate in the Kirovohrad region.

Earlier, “Ukrenergo” reported that on December 26, consumption restriction measures will last from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For household consumers, there will be one and a half turns of blackouts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and one turn offs from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The reason for the temporary tightening of restrictions is damage to energy facilities as a result of a massive missile and drone attack on December 25. According to the Air Force, Russia then launched 78 missiles and 106 attack drones of various types over Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Energy, since October 2022, Russia has carried out more than a thousand strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, this year alone 9 GW of generating capacity was lost due to strikes.
