Details: According to the investigation, in December 2023, the suspect delivered 20,000 sleeping bags of inadequate quality to one of the military units of the National Guard of Ukraine under a state contract. They cannot be used for their intended purpose.
In particular, according to the conclusion of the examination, the composition of the fabric did not meet the stated requirements, the sleeping bags also lacked mandatory elements: a fleece lining and a layer of special fabric that does not allow air to pass through.
Such actions of the suspect caused losses to the state in the amount of UAH 30 million, prosecutors note.
The director of the enterprise was notified of the suspicion of fraud committed on a particularly large scale.
At the moment, a preventive measure has been chosen for him (it is not specified what exactly – ed.). It is noted that a legal evaluation of the actions of military officials of the National Guard of Ukraine will be provided based on the results of the research of the collected evidence.
