What happened before:

  • On Wednesday, the Embraer plane of the Azerbaijan Arilines airline, which was on its way from Baku to Grozny, crashed near Aktau (administrative center of the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan). According to Azerbaijan Airlines, there were 67 people on board, including five crew members. Of them, 42 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 – from Russia, 6 – from Kazakhstan, 3 – from Kyrgyzstan.
  • “KazAeroNavigatsiya” company believes that the accident occurred in connection with a collision with a bird and violation of steering control. Also, the Russian public does not rule out that the plane could have changed its course due to the threat of a drone attack on Chechnya. According to preliminary data, Grozny was attacked by several UAVs, as a result of which the “Carpet” plan was announced at the city’s airport.
