The British Foreign Ministry called the massive Russian attack on Christmas “inhumane”.
“Putin chose Christmas to attack the innocent civilian population of Ukraine. Zelensky is right, this is inhumane. Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people. We will be with them on this day and every day,” the British Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
US Ambassador Bridget Brink noted that Russia uses winter as a weapon.
“Russia’s ‘Christmas gift’ to Ukraine: more than 70 missiles and 100 drones aimed at Ukrainian families celebrating in their homes and the energy infrastructure that keeps them warm. This is the third holiday season Russia has used winter as a weapon,” – wrote Brink.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled a large-scale attack by the Russian Federation on the night of December 25. Out of 184 launched enemy missiles and drones, 113 targets were destroyed. The enemy attacked Ukrainian energy facilities in Kharkiv Oblast, Kyiv Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and Zaporizhzhia.
