On the night of December 22, the Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk for the second time in a row defeated the British contender Tyson Fury. The fight took place in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and ended with the victory of the Ukrainian by a unanimous decision of the judges – 116:112 (three times).

A video that was shot several years ago has gained popularity in the network. In 2020, Fury stated that he was not going to meet Usyk, as the Ukrainian was unknown and uninteresting:

“He is a noun. No one is interested in going to the ring with him, he does not bring any money. Why should I date him? I want big fights that people will be interested in and this is definitely not one of them.

He is a foreigner in the Western world. The world champion must be a boxer from Britain or America and from nowhere else. Perhaps Usyk is considered a big star in Ukraine. But the world champion has to be from the West, that’s how it works in boxing,” Tyson said at the time.
