The Emergencies Ministry of Kazakhstan said that 25 people survived the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane that happened on Wednesday near the city of Aktau.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by NUR.kz.

“Regarding the victims, information is being clarified. “Preliminarily, there are 25 survivors, 22 of them have been taken to the hospital,” the agency said.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 67 people were on board the plane, including 5 crew members.

The Kazinform agency, citing preliminary data from the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, noted that there were 37 citizens of Azerbaijan, 6 of Kazakhstan, 3 of Kyrgyzstan and 16 citizens of the Russian Federation on board the Azerbaijan Airlines plane.
