Telecommunications company Nokia has filed a patent application in China for a device and software for encrypting digital assets intended for consumer equipment.
In accordance with documents submitted to the National Intellectual Property Administration of China, the module uses a system of keys, indexes and subscriber IDs. Some information is publicly available.
The device is intended for use in all types of wired and wireless communication, including mobile. The set of components and methods used for encryption may differ depending on the communication technology.
In the examples of the implementation of digital asset encryption functions, the company mentioned the metauniverse. On the Nokia website, a large page with information is devoted to virtual worlds. Regarding the use of technology in one’s own business, it says:
“For communications service providers, the metauniverse presents potentially new opportunities to serve consumers and businesses, requirements to upgrade network infrastructure and bandwidth, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.”
We will remind you that in 2021, the Chinese telecommunications equipment manufacturer Huawei announced that it will enter the market of metauniverses.
