Russian troops struck Kryvyi Rih, reported Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, on December 24.

“Damaged residential building. The information is being clarified. We are also finding out whether people were injured,” he said.

Later, the head of the region announced that, according to preliminary data, five people were injured as a result of the attack:

“Two of them were taken out from under the rubble. They are provided with the necessary medical assistance.”

The head of the region soon clarified that the number of wounded had increased to six, half of them in hospital.

“The women are 69 and 72 years old and the man is 78 years old. All are in a moderate condition. The rest of the injured were treated on the spot,” said Lysak.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
