Military expert, reserve officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kramarov explained on Radio NV why a conflict could arise between the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the DeepState monitoring project.

“DeepState reflects the dynamics of changing the front line that we currently have in the Donetsk region. We can go in and see, for example, the dynamics for a month, for half a year, we can see the dynamics for a year. And this situation is still the result, in particular, of the unsuccessful actions of our command. They are also. Everyone is not perfect, our command also, I believe, had a number of unsuccessful actions and miscalculations,” Kramarov noted.

Against the background of this negative dynamic on the battlefield, he continued, questions are beginning to arise in society that do not please Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky.

“It is also worth understanding that Syrskyi feels the burden of comparing the dynamics of hostilities with the previous commander, Valery Fedorovych Zaluzhny. Now these questions are starting to arise. And it is clear that you may not like the opportunity to see the dynamics of the front in real time and start asking uncomfortable questions,” explained Kramarov.

At the same time, he noted that he has no information that they tried to pressure DeepState:

“This is probably the largest OSINT resource in Ukraine, one of the leading OSINT resources in the world in general. And to put pressure on him, I think, would be a completely unreasonable policy.”

On December 23, an updated map by DeepState analysts showed that Russian occupiers surrounded Makarivka, a village near Velika Novosilka in the Donetsk region.

After that, the press service of the Khortytsia Security Service reported that the information about the encirclement of the Defense Forces in Makarivka in the Vremiv direction is not true, and stated that the dissemination of unverified data threatens the Ukrainian military and can complicate their work.

At the same time, People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla announced the alleged offensive” of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi against the DeepState team. Project analysts themselves commented on this situation, noting that “not all heads of committees like the truth.”

On December 24, the monitoring platform DeepState reported that Russia occupied Makarivka, but there are no surrounded units of the Defense Forces in the settlement.
