Half of the men of conscription age are ready to return to Ukraine: Chernyshov named the main condition

Half of the men of draft age who are currently abroad are ready to return to Ukraine without the end of the war, provided that the reservation issue is resolved. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations, writes UNN.

According to Chernyshov, half of the men of military age are already ready to return to Ukraine, without even waiting for the end of hostilities.

“50% of men of draft age are ready to return to Ukraine today, without waiting for the end of the war, if the reservation issue is resolved. It is not the war today that is the factor that stops men from returning. Of course, they are intimidated by the issue of possible mobilization. Is it bad or good, we will evaluate this later, it is as it is,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

He also noted that the future “Unity Hubs” abroad should deal with issues related to mobilization and military registration documents, as well as provide employment services in Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada appointed Oleksiy Chernyshov to the post of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Unity. The new ministry will deal with the return of Ukrainians and countering Russian influence abroad.
