There are currently about 35,000 internally displaced persons in the register of applicants for soft loans under the “Housing for IDPs” program. This was announced by the chairman of the board of the State Fund for the Promotion of Youth Housing Construction, Mykola Marchuk, reports Ukrinform. “To participate in the program, IDPs must not own real estate, have a stable income, a positive credit history and have not previously participated in other state programs. Credit terms are quite affordable: the minimum down payment is 6%, the fixed interest rate on the loan is 3%, the term lending – up to 30 years or until the borrower reaches retirement age,” Marchuk said. Marchuk also noted that the selection of the recipients of preferential loans takes place randomly with the help of a computer program approximately once every 45 days on the air. During the last two selections, 800 winners were chosen.
