Almost a third of entrepreneurs in Ukraine are preparing to close their businesses – survey results

Almost a third of entrepreneurs in Ukraine are preparing to close their businesses – survey results27% of Ukrainian individual entrepreneurs plan to close their businesses in the near future, according to a survey of 32,000

Opendatabot showed the results of a large-scale survey of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, according to which 27% of the surveyed businesses plan to close in the near future, UNN reports.

Almost 32,000 entrepreneurs took part in the survey. 62% of entrepreneurs planning to close down decided to close because of the tax increase. Another 19% of entrepreneurs are shutting down because of business problems.

Since the law on the introduction of the military tax for small and medium-sized businesses was signed, one newly opened business has been replaced by two closed ones. For comparison, in the same period last year, 4 newly opened businesses accounted for only 1 closed one

Ukrainian entrepreneurs face problems in repaying foreign currency loans due to exchange rate fluctuations. Experts suggest allowing the conversion of foreign currency loans into hryvnia to ease the situation and stimulate business development.
