Law enforcement officers exposed a 31-year-old resident of Chernivtsi region, who was illegally transporting conscripted men abroad. Weapons, ammunition and fake documents were found in his apartment and cars. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Chernivtsi region, writes UNN.

It is noted that the suspect sought out “tourists” and, in accordance with the pre-agreed plan, drove them by car to the demarcation line of the state border with the Republic of Romania. The amount of the “green corridor” was 10,000 euros per person.

On December 20, law enforcement officers arrested the man and placed him in custody.

During the searches, 5 grenades with detonators, cartridges, pistols, 2 rifles, a carbine complete with an underbarrel grenade launcher, uniforms of law enforcement officers, magazines for automatic weapons, fake IDs, money in foreign currency and other physical evidence were seized from the suspect. Everything removed was sent for examination.

The detainee is charged with illegal handling of weapons and illegal transportation of persons across the border. The involvement of other persons in committing illegal acts is also checked.
