The trial of the suspect in the second attempt to kill Donald Trump has been postponed until September 2025. It is noted that the court was asked to postpone the scheduled hearing in the case of 58-year-old suspect Ryan Root to February 10, 2025 – due to the large amount of evidence in the case.

In turn, the lawyers asked for the postponement of the case until December next year.

U.S. District Judge Eileen Cannon of Florida agreed to postpone the case, but called the defense’s request for a one-year delay “excessive.”

Therefore, the judge set a jury trial for September 8, 2025.

It is also noted that Judge Cannon previously presided over a closed criminal case accusing Trump of illegally keeping classified documents after his first term as president.
