The Russian army attacked Beryslav in the Kherson region with a drone, Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the regional military administration, reported on December 23.

According to him, a local resident died as a result of the blow.

“The occupiers dropped explosives from an unmanned aerial vehicle on a 55-year-old man. Unfortunately, he was mortally wounded,” the head of the region said.

Earlier on December 23, the local authorities reported the wounding of two civilians in the Kherson region during the day – in the regional center and Kizomys.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles. In particular, the Russian army regularly attacks the de-occupied part of the Kherson region with attack drones.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes committed by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are targeted.
