This indicator became the next historical maximum of the dollar in Ukraine.As for the European currency, the hryvnia also weakened. According to data on the regulator’s website, the official exchange rate of the euro for Tuesday is set at 43.65 hryvnias for one euro, i.e. the hryvnia lost 14 kopecks.
On the interbank foreign exchange market of Ukraine, by 4:00 p.m., hryvnia to dollar quotations were set at the level of UAH 42.03/42.05/dollar, the euro at UAH 43.72/43.73/euro.
Exchange rates in Ukraine – the latest news The dollar exchange rate at “PrivatBank” on December 23 increased by 10 kopecks and is UAH 42.20 per dollar. The euro has risen in price by 15 kopecks to UAH 44.30 per euro. You can sell American currency in the bank at the rate of UAH 41.60, Euros at the rate of UAH 43.30 per unit of foreign currency.
In Ukraine, the demand for currency from the population increased, which became the main factor of additional pressure on the exchange rate and led to the appreciation of the dollar, according to the Financial Stability Report published by the National Bank. It is noted that the net demand for the currency is growing due to the recovery of the economy and the revival of imports.
