She made such a statement after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that she would be forced to leave her post on December 29. The politician added that he is interested in where the president wants to live – behind bars or free, SOVA quotes him.

Zurabishvili wrote in the X microblog that she will remain loyal to the Georgian army, the constitution and the people, and the only way out of the current crisis is to call new elections:

“This Constitution, though trampled under foot, stands strong, and so does Georgia. I will defend it and remain true to it! Georgia never gives up when it stands for what is right.”

Protests in GeorgiaWe will remind that the Georgian president and the opposition did not recognize the results of the parliamentary elections. The violation was reported in the European Parliament, and Ukraine introduced sanctions against part of the Georgian government.

On December 14, the electoral college of the country elected Mikheil Kavelashvili as the president – he was the only candidate. Meanwhile, large-scale protests continue on the streets of Tbilisi.
