Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation had different opinions regarding the development of the Oreshnyk missile complex, and he himself supported the testing of the missile complex in combat conditions.

In a comment to Russian propagandist Pavel Zarubin, Putin boasted that he was “quite deeply” immersed in the development of Oreshnyk.

The Ministry of Defense had different views on this. In the end, I joined those who believed that a) it should be produced and gave a direct order to do so, allocate the necessary resources, and b) agreed with those who believed that it was time to test it in combat conditions. said the Russian dictator in a video that Zarubin published on his Telegram page.

Hit Ukraine with Oreshnyk missile – what is known

On November 21, Russia first attacked Ukraine with the Oreshnyk intercontinental ballistic missile. It flew to the Dnipro and caused minor damage. A number of mass media wrote that Russia struck the Dnipro on November 21 with a modification of the RS-26 Rubizh missile, which did not have a warhead.

On the same day, Putin called the use of a nuclear-free hypersonic ballistic missile “a response to attacks by British and American weapons.”

According to the GUR, on November 21, the aggressor country Russia launched a ballistic missile from the Kedr complex over the Dnieper.

On November 28, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin publicly threatened to strike “decision-making centers” in Kyiv with Oreshnyk missiles.

In December, a number of Western media, citing American officials, wrote that the Russian Federation was preparing a new attack on Ukraine with the Oreshnyk missile.

ISW analyzed that Putin, with loud statements about the Oreshnik ballistic missile, is probably looking for a way to move away from his nuclear threats, which he is not ready to fulfill.

On December 16, the Russian dictator announced that serial production of the Oreshnyk medium-range ballistic missile would begin in the near future.
