In Ukraine, railway tickets no longer have dubbing in Russian. Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Timur Tkachenko stated this in his Telegram channel, reports UNN.

“From now on, information on travel documents will be duplicated in Ukrainian and English. In addition, document forms for printing in self-service terminals have been approved, which allows for the introduction of new services for passengers on railway transport,” Tkachenko said.

According to him, this is an important step in the framework of European integration, because Ukrainian railways now play a key role in passenger transportation.

“Abandoning dubbing in Russian is not only a symbolic, but also a practical step to establish the Ukrainian language as the only state language. The use of English promotes integration into the international space, improves convenience for foreign passengers and demonstrates European service standards. This is not the final appearance of the ticket, it will be somewhat improved, but the main thing now is the absence of Russian on it,” Tkachenko added.

“As a test, they made a ticket with a prediction,” added the deputy minister and showed the “Kyiv-Passenger – Victory” ticket.
