It is reported that a representative of the Ukrainian brigade operating in the Kharkiv direction reported on December 20 that Ukrainian forces conducted their first ground attack exclusively using robotic systems instead of infantry on an unspecified date near the settlement of Liptsi (north of Kharkiv) and successfully destroyed unspecified Russian positions during the attack.

According to ISW, the spokesman said that Ukrainian forces carried out the attack with the help of dozens of UAVs equipped with machine guns, and also used UAVs to establish and demine unspecified positions in the area. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly emphasized Ukraine’s efforts to use technological innovation and asymmetric strike capabilities to offset Ukraine’s manpower limitations in contrast to Russia’s willingness to accept unacceptable casualty rates for minor territorial gains, the report said.

It is noted that Ukraine also continues innovative production of drones.

The General Staff of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian officials have completed testing a drone on fiber optic cables, which will be more resistant to electronic warfare (EW). Russian troops, as indicated, recently used such drones in the Kursk region and Ukraine. A Ukrainian drone company has announced that it has recently assembled a prototype of the first FPV drone made exclusively from components manufactured in Ukraine.
